All IKAR Safety Harnesses are manufactured to a “standard” size with adjustment in the leg loops, chest strap and shoulder straps. (The IKG1 does not have shoulder adjustment).
As a guide, our “standard” harness size can normally be adjusted to fit an individual from 65-130kg, however depending on their bodily proportions, there may be exceptions.
Due to the nature of the design and construction of IKAR Safety Harnesses, it is not possible to give exact “TO FIT” guides. The individual’s height, chest and thigh dimensions, more importantly than their weight, will affect their ability to fit and adjust the harness correctly.
In extensive field trials the IKAR “standard” harness size has shown to adjust to fit 99% of wearers, however in the exceptional cases where it does not, we can manufacture small, extra large or special bespoke versions to fit an individual. Please contact us for details.
If you feel you need a larger size than our standard then you can request a “BB” (Big Boy) Harness. All of our harness can be made as BBs at a small extra cost, however there will be a delay in delivery as these will be made to order in our sewing factory in Germany. The same goes for a smaller than standard harness, just request a “SB” (Small Boy) Harness.
